Cheapart exhibited for the first time at Thessaloniki in 1998. From that time and on the first cheapart of the year begins with the Thessaloniki show. This year we celebrate 12 years in Thessaloniki as our show is held at Kalamaria - within the dormitories of former military camp Kodra. 130 selected artists will present their new work. Many of these artists will have an opportunity exhibit before an internationally at Vienna in November 2010, during the Third International cheapart, artMart. Cheapart, within the past 12 years has represented more than 400 artists. Those who have attended our shows, as those who are familiar with cheapart's consecutive presence will certainly have much to tell. Through the course of the years, many have been closely acqainted to artists and have a friendly relationship with them and their work. Both the public and the artists look upon this event as a friendly gathering. This is not a coincidence, we are an organic part of the event which gives us the opportunity to come closer through dialogue, exchanging views and ideas.

This year cheapart under the aegis of the District of Thessaloniki / Cultural Center, and the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Kalamaria.
