Ostomachion
Ostomachion was the name of a mathematical text by Archimedes. The word ostomachion roots from the words bone (οστούν) and battle (μάχη), meaning, the battle of bones. At the same time, it was a widespread game in ancient times that looked a lot like today's tangram. It was played with 14 geometric figures (bones) with which two or more players competed with each other in forming various geometric figures. At the main entrance and on the floors of the mosaikon hotel, a cultural Ostomachion unfolds in a 5- month project.
14 artists create a world of images and ideas specially designed for the spaces from the ground floor to the roof bar.
