Digitus
The proposition Digitus aims to unite artistic gesture with the concept of the digit, pursuing a rich field of exploration and perceptual discovery. Artists employ the notion of digits not only as a series of numerical elements but also as a spatial and visual dimension of geometric sequence. Inspired by the conceptual relationship of fingers as units of spatial measurement and numerical code, they delve into the silent world of gestures, colors, and lines, addressing an ineffable decoding power within us. The pictorial space transforms into a cerebral topography of line and color. Simultaneously, the dynamic of repetition generates multiple layers of the lost reality, as space is reshaped by memories, recollections, and traces of the past. The evident gesture repositions humans as creators of existence, while violent motion reveals them as destroyers. The spatial placement of color encapsulates the condensation of emotion and a substantial act of recreation. This coexistence reveals the mutual interaction between art and the philosophy of abstraction, highlighting the digit as a point and place on the painting surface. Each color occupies a topography of Being and becomes a regulator of spatial coexistence in experience.
The placement of color as quantifying a memory and the sequence becomes tools focusing on proportion, order, and structure. Reality is shaped as a juxtaposition of different moments and structures in time, becoming the field of research into the complexity of existence.
