Autofagia
New contemporary artists explore the symbolic and real meaning of autophagy through art. Autophagy, as a biological process, refers to the ability of cells to consume and recycle their own components to survive and renew. However, the term acquires a deeper metaphorical dimension when examined through the lens of art. Here, autophagy functions as a metaphor for internal reflection, self-criticism, and spiritual regeneration. The artists in the exhibition, through different expressive fields, create works that reveal personal dystopias, social, and cultural processes of autophagy, highlighting how internal dissolution and reconstruction can lead to new forms of existence.
