"The Body and the Void". The body we inhabit, inhabits us. It both feels and being felt at the same time. It sees and being seen, hears and being heard, moves and being moved, touches and being touched. The perfect void (or absolute void) is an idealization that seems to be impossible to exist in the reality of our own universe. As the opposite concept of a vacuum, an ideal state where three-dimensional space is completely covered by matter is called complete. (plenum). A body in plenum is made inhabitable by its voids.

“moving parts, a bridge to heaven”
On May 15-16-17 at the DANAOS Cinema, dare Dance Festival 2025 will feature the exhibition "moving parts, a bridge to heaven", curated by Georg Georgakopoulos and Fotini Kapiris.
Moving parts, seemingly unrelated to one another, convey new meanings when assembled together. In the in-between space, there is no disorder; among the moving elements, there is no void. Everything is reorganized, creating new relationships and establishing a new sense of order. According to Chaos Theory, even the slightest change can trigger an imbalance. When viewed in isolation, individual fragments may appear disjointed, but when properly arranged, their continuity reveals a larger picture. The loss or misplacement of even a single piece can throw the entire composition into chaos.
These modest, moving parts — the humble pieces that bridge the gap and unite to reveal the larger image — represent the artists' work and serves as a pathway to the divine.
