The Brilliance of Everyday Life | Combining the elements
Presented by “Borders as Bridge”, Platform for Cultural Exchange, Connecting European Contemporary Art to Asia
“The Brilliance of Everyday Life, Combining the elements”, curated by the international team Georg Georgakopoulos, Julia Harrauer, Lars* Kollros and YuHan Wang, is the inaugural exhibition of the artist-centered platform “Borders as bridge”, aimed to connect Europe and Asia through cultural exchange.
Opening on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Shanghai – Liberal Town Art Space, “The Brilliance of Everyday Life, Combining the elements”, introduces contemporary Greek, Austrian, Chinese, and international artists within a carefully curated and globally oriented program of public opening events, strategic media outreach, and dedicated collector engagement, offering participating artists and partners meaningful visibility and direct access to key Asian markets.
“Borders as bridge” is conceived by Georg Georgakopoulos and YuHan Wang, as an international multifaced art platform dedicated to fostering dialogue and collaboration between the two regions through curated exhibitions, art fairs, residencies, and institutional collaborations, while continuously linking artistic practice with Asian audiences and markets, and sustained opportunities for artistic exchange and global engagement.
Each exhibition tells a story; the artworks constitute the essential components for decoding that narrative. Art is perhaps the only universal language capable of uniting people from the four corners of the world in a society founded on mutual understanding and respect.
“The Brilliance of Everyday Life, Combining the elements”
Just as fundamental visual elements, line, shape, color, and texture, create space and depth within a work of art, so too are the origins of ideas and inventive approaches to everyday thoughts metaphorically combined, redefining and shaping an entirely new perspective on daily life.
The routine of balance, formed through the daily struggle, generates a sequence of new narrations characterised by clarity of structure and harmony. Artists from Greece, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Lithuania and China employ these fundamental elements, focusing on the individuality of each creator, and guide the viewer’s eye, instilling emotion into inanimate matter.
