CHEAPART 1995
The first CHEAPART in Athens opens in December 1995. The pioneer exhibition model disrupts the existing art landscape. Artists are freed of commercial pressures of their work, expressing and sharing ideas with a wide audience.
CHEAPART. The idea is being implemented in Athens. Sixteen artists from varied backgrounds bring together small sized artwork to create a large, colorful puzzle. An art supermarket.
Artwork to be acquired! As Vital as a pack of Spaghetti Pasta!
Art demanding to be consumed! To offer the buyer the pleasure of their acquisition. CHEAPART. Painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, video on display, to the disposal of the visual consumer.
