CHEAPART 1997

Well in its third year, it is now apparent that the CHEAPART organisation and exhibition (under the same title) will play an important role in the Greek and International Art Scene. CHEAPART expands its range by collaborating with Epikentro Gallery, gaining more exposure for the popular December exhibitions.

CHEAPART booming into its… 3rd consecutive year, opens on the same day and time at two different venues, Epikentro Gallery and CHEAPART Gallery at Exarcheia in Athens.

Human dreams and aspirations wrapped up in paper, canvas, metal sheets, plastic, glue, fabrics, wire and plywood, are exposed to the public.
Buy them.
The power of creation is offered at a bargain price.

CHEAPART, the monument.

CHEAPART, the document. Shapes the future image of humanity.

CHEAPART, the guard. Protects the cheap, from withering and decay.

CHEAPART, cold storage. What is not consumed today, is preserved as tomorrow's trend.

Culture becomes and attractive and stimulating.

Fourteen artists with a diverse range of creative media (painting, printmaking, sculpture) gather their small size work, and form together a large colorful puzzle - an art supermarket of personal statements and claims, where original artwork is sold from 5,000 - 15,000 drachmas.

Participating artists:
Agapitos Agapitakis, Maria Andonatou, Katerina Barabouti, Dimitris Christidis, Dimitris Georgakopoulos, Georg Georgakopoulos, Panos Georgopoulos, Eleni Glinou, Kostas Ioannidis, Zoe Kakouri, Niki Kapokaki, Angie Karatza, Christos Kechagioglou, Vana Kechagioglou, Nikos Kiourtzis, Harris Kondosphyris, Kosmas Lilikakis, Fiona Mouzakiti, Natassa Poulantza, Eleni Theofylaktou, Thanos Vovolis / George Zamboulakis
