CHEAPART supports the opportunity for direct contact between the public, the artwork and the artist. Our goal is to preserve and strengthen physical interaction between the art audience and the artwork presented in the exhibition, and maintain the public’s longstanding connection with CHEAPART.
Greece: Past – Present – Future
CHEAPART draws from central theme of the 85th TIF
CHEAPART showcases the work of artists from Greece and abroad while at the same time, in honor of the central theme of the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair «Greece: Past, Present and Future», a section of works is presented in connection to the 200-year Anniversary of the Greek revolution, the course and developments of the country from 1821 until today.
CHEAPART opens to its 7th exhibition at the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair, welcoming the city’s art audience to a selection of Greek and international artists. CHEAPART is hosted within its own pavilion on the premises of the Thessaloniki International Fair TIF, the most established Exhibition and Conference Center in Southeast Europe. TIF Helexpo invites CHEAPART to its annual fair acknowledging the impact of the organisation which first introduced a new market for contemporary art in Greece in 1995, creating a direct connection between artist and audience. CHEAPART successfully overturned a closed and restricted market by maximizing opportunities for artists on a national and international level. Over the past 26 years, the Organization has maintained continuous presence within the international art networks, introducing thousands of artists to the public.
