A collaborative presentation of the artist duo, Annetta Spanoudaki and Nikos Kokkalis. “Dirty Annunciation” (2013) video, attracts its theme from the early hilarious Shadow

Theater spectacles, while iconographically it refers to a film of the early years of the moving image. "Tiny Me"- a 24 watercolor series, as many as the letters of the alphabet - is a small Freudian diary in the color of blood.
As Annetta Spanoudaki notes on her installation “Over your cities grass will grow”,
«the autumn came
invisible from corner to corner
so clear to the eye
someone recognized it from the sound
of the air blowing

... watching the inner connection of things we learn the innumerable ways of the world. The immobility of the image determines the narrative context.
Space, time and memory meet, inviting the viewer to shift from an individual, to a wider perspective.
Only then may the inner voice clarify, as objects become conceivable...»

"Nikos Kokkalis, Anneta Spanoudaki" exhibition is part of the Back to Athens 6 International Arts Festival. Since 2012, Back to Athens Festival unites the city’s artistic scene in a public showcase of contemporary art and expression that boosts social awareness and restores the residents of Athens to the City Center.


Back to Athens 6 is organized by CHEAPART in collaboration with the Athens Commercial Triangle Revitalization Program of the municipality of Athens, and Athens Intersection cultural program with the support of the Austrian Embassy in Athens, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, My Odyssey/Hellas Group, Praxitelous Bar and Vikos.
