We are the landmarks of our City
We walk the streets of Athens on level with hundreds of historical buildings and landmarks, a collective of diverse private and public ownerships. How does a growing society identify with hereditary ownership?
Genetic estate exhibition examines the social and cultural development of the condition of ownership superimposed to the younger generation. Yet if a single gene promises genetic continuity, history of location and premises ensures the evolution of the collective mind, meaning our contemporary society.

The exhibition "Genetic Estate" is presented by the Athens Intersection Cultural Program as a part of the artistic agenda through which the Athens Commercial Triangle Revitalization Program of the Municipality of Athens, implemented with the exclusive donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (ISN), invites us to explore the cultural and historical heritage of Athens. The Old Warehouse of 3 Chrysospiliotissis Street which hosts the exhibition, is courtesy of the Chatzikosta Foundation in the context of the Athens Intersection Cultural Program curated by George Georgakopoulos and coordinated by Fotini Kapiris, Performance series curated by Thanos Vovolis.
