Spring 1998
Spring 1998. (Paradoxal phenomena at CHEAPART).
Four supernatural phenomena inspire the upcoming Spring of 1998.
Georg Georgakopoulos's angels, fresh and colorful, shake off their garments and dance onto the white walls. They light up and come to life when plugged into our very own energy sources, light sockets, and become ideographs, ideas words, enlighten knowledge.
Dimitris Georgakopoulos's pillows drift gently in and out an array of parallel holes, releasing tension after the Winter stress. This three-dimensional "phenomena" develops into artists and other art beings in the distinct state of crystallization. The visitor observes with his bleak and worn out look.
Chains and anchors, as perceived by the German artist Ragna Jürgensen. Two simple and silent dimensions are carefully glued to a delicate, but thriving layer of color. Although impossible, it is accomplished.
Finally, the garden of lost animals by Christos Kechagioglou opens up its entrance gates. Extinct beasts, fictional and non-exciting creatures, burst forth and hang themselves on the walls. ZOO. The visitor is depicted as a bloodthirsty hunter at the nails of the Polaroid film. The cd-rom thunders and roars, snorting out a lecture on destructive zoology from within its cage.
Do not miss the opportunity to attend. The spring attraction is opening.
