Summer 1999

The 4 seasons serve as a motif; in the spring, summer and autumn, the artists showcase their work in these exhibitions of four.

Summer 1999: Elena Athanasiadou comments on the messages she receives daily from the media. Through intense colors on an undefined background, a woman is presented as the stereotype image conveyed by magazines, newspapers and comics, with humor and irony.

Andreas Vais overpowers our visual field with unexpected figures in their patterned background. Colors and shapes distract the visitor's attention and invite him to penetrate this surface.

Pares Mallis in a series of 25 works depicts a child's world through the eyes of an adult. The snapshots of the children are captured in their natural environment, during their activities and events.

Martha Tsiara moves edited images of cities: circus scenes and fantastic landscapes. Intense color dominates, bridging the real with the imaginary, creating mythical images that liberate the gray landscape.
