Nothing | Dimitris Halatsis
Installation and performance by Dimitris Halatsis
The observing eye, the camera follows the eye and the projection is screened before the audience. The subject watches and is being watched. Not far from this, a twig rotates mechanically, suffering at every turn. Books buried in soil seem to decay, a slow process documented by camera before the viewer.
Used banners from protests, and banners made of used clothes.
Four seemingly unrelated stories unwind under the watchful look of the bleak undefined person who eats himself as heraldic snake swallows its tail. A and Z the perpetual cycle, continuous movement for the sake of movement. It is difficult to explain NOTHING because there is always something.
